Summary
THE EXPERIMENT SUGGESTS THAT CELL DAMAGE AND DEATH IN THE FREEZING PROCESS IS CAUSED MAINLY BY DEHYDRATION ; CELLULAR MEMBRANE STRUCTURE INJURIES AND INFILTRATION CHANGES ARE MAIN FACTORS. THUS, THE CRYOTHERAPY METHOD IN CLINICAL WORK SHOULD ADAPT THE COOLING SPEED OF CELLS, SO AS TO KEEP THE CELLS UNDER SUPERFREEZING FOR A LONG TIME. THE METHOD OF REPEATED THAWING CAUSES SERIOUS CELL DEHYDRATION WITH LETHAL CELLULAR INJURIES AND DEATH.
