AN INVESTIGATION ON THE APPLICATION OF REFRIGERANT MIXTURES IN DOMESTIC REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENTS.

Author(s) : XIE G. Z., et al.

Summary

IN THIS STUDY, THE MIXTURES R22/R142B AND R152A/R22 WERE SELECTED AS THECANDIDATES FOR ALTERNATIVES. THE PROPERTIES OF MIXTURES AT THE STATE OF VAPOUR-LIQUID EQUILIBRIUM WERE ANALYZED. THE PERFORMANCE COEFFICIENT OF REFRIGERATING CYCLE USING TWO KINDS OF MIXTURES AS REFRIGERANTS WAS ANALYZED ON THE BASIS OF THE SECOND LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS. PARAMETERS HAVE BEEN MEASURED ON A DOMESTIC REFRIGERATOR CHARGED WITH THESE MIXTURES. IT WAS FOUND FROM BOTH THEORETICAL ANALYSIS AND EXPERIMENT THAT THE R152A/R22 MIXTURE CAN BE USED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR R12 IN DOMESTIC REFRIGERATING EQUIPMENT.
