ANALYSIS OF AMMONIATED METAL SALT SUSPENSIONS FOR THE USE IN SOLAR REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS.

Summary

A TEST STUDY WAS CARRIED OUT ON AMMONIA ADSORPTION AND DESORPTION IN CALCIUM AND STRONTIUM CHLORIDES AT PRESSURES AND TEMPERATURES CORRESPONDING TO THOSE OF A REFRIGERATION SYSTEM PERIODICALLY SUPPLIED WITH SOLAR ENERGY. THE ADSORBENT IS IN SUSPENSION IN AN INERT SOLVENT IN ORDER TO PREVENT HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER BETWEEN THE GAS AND THE SOLID. THE EQUILIBRIUM VALUES IN 1-HEPTANOL OBTAINED FOR BOTH SALTS AGREE WITH LITERATURE DATA.
