Analysis of sensible heat recovery heat exchanger performance with water vapour condensation.

Number: pap. 367

Author(s) : ADAMOVSKY D.

Summary

During the cold season in a sensible heat recovery heat exchanger, water vapor condensation from exhausted air may occur. This influence is usually neglected in total heat transfer rates and heat recovery efficiency. The article describes the influence of the condensation of water vapor on the performance of flat-plate heat exchangers in a ventilation unit. For evaluation sensible, latent and overall efficiency exergy analysis is also used. An exergy based approach to heat exchangers determined that additional condensation heat transfer rates is used efficiently.
