Condensation in brazed plate heat exchangers Exel.

Author(s) : MEZIANI S., ALTAZIN M., JURKOWSKI R., et al.

Summary

To control the two-phase heat transfer coefficient in condensation has a significant role in the maximum performances of brazed plate heat exchangers "Exel". Simulation and selection of plate condensers operating with low temperature pitch between hot and cold fluid lead to low condensation pressures and assure optimal performances of thermodynamic units. However, the choice of the best model allowing an accurate prediction of the local heat transfer coefficients in condensation is a complex procedure, which consist of simultaneous experimental and analytical approaches in order to make the inode1 most general possible. The authors studied most correlations available in the literature and selected those giving the best predictions of the local heat transfer coefficients for their approach of the brazed plate heat exchangers.
