Summary
With an engineering case, the article presents the application of combined conventional chillers, ground-source heat pump units and a water cooling and thermal storage system. By analysing the initial cost and operating expense, together with the stability, flexibility and practicability of the air-conditioning system, it points out the application prospects of ground-source heat pump and water energy storage systems.
