Application of new fluid mixtures in heat pumps for energy savings.

Author(s) : KRUSE H., LAUE H. J.

Summary

Considering that in heat production heat pumps are possible solutions to reduce the demand of fossil energy as well as the emissions of carbon dioxide, R&D work in the Federal Republic of Germany is concentrated on the development of environmentally acceptable fluids and mixtures with improved energy efficiency. Within the joint DKV R&D program the development of binary and ternary non-azeotropic mixtures composed of R23, R134a and R152a is discussed and first results are presented.
