Summary

This paper presents the results of research on the microbial inactivation in refrigerators by ozonation and compared its effectiveness with ultraviolet radiation method of disinfection. The study shows that 1 h of ozonation is sufficient to achieve the reduction of microorganism by 2 logarithmic cycle for refrigeration equipment with a capacity of 100 l to 175 l and a temperature above 0°C.
