TITANIUM ALLOYS ARE DISCUSSED AS A POSSIBLE ALTERNATIVE TO THE COPPER-NICKEL ALLOYS USED IN SEAWATER COO TITANIUM CAN PREVENT THE ACCELERATED SEAWATER EROSION AND CORROSION AND CAN PROVIDE A MEANS OF EXTENDING SERVICE LIFE AND IMPROVING RELIABILITY.
