IIR document
Assessment of performance of hydrocarbon refrigerants.
Author(s) : COLBOURNE D., SUEN K. O.
Summary
Some 54 technical papers and reports detailing experimental performance comparisons of various hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon refrigerants have been reviewed. These generally indicate an improved COP of systems using hydrocarbons. Both single-phase and two-phase heat transfer and pressure loss is evaluated as well as a basic reciprocating compression process.
