Summary

THE PAPER DESCRIBES A PROMOTION OF THE CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER TO A COOLED DOWNWARD SURFACE IN A CLOSED VESSEL. FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING IT, IT IS TRIED TO BRING THE FOAM ON BOILING SURFACE CLEAR TO THE CONDENSATION FILM ON A COOLED SURFACE AND REMOVE THE LATTER BY THE FOAM. AS A RESULT OF THIS EXPERIMENT, IT IS FOUND THAT THE HEAT TRANSFER RATE IS LARGER ABOUT 50%. INVESTIGATIONS OF INFLUENCE OF THE LENGTH FROM COOLED SURFACE TO BOILING SURFACE, THE DISTANCE FROM COOLED SURFACE TO LIQUID SURFACE, AND THE RATIO OF COOLED SURFACE AREA TO BOILING SURFACE AREA ARE DONE.
