Bacteria of the genus Mycobacterium for the treatment and cold storage of potato.

Summary
Bacteria of the genus Mycobacterium (strains 12, 67 and 202) are found to possess antifungal properties in respect to fungi (phytopathogens of potato). The treatment of potato tubers with the antagonist bacteria causes no physiological and biochemical alterations in them, lowers losses of vitamin C, checks the growth of potato diseases induced by the main pathogens by two-three times during cold storage.
