Basic operating characteristics of reciprocating compressor for CO2 cycle.

Author(s) : YANAGISAWA T., FUKUTA M., SAKAI T., et al.

Summary

A prototype reciprocating compressor was constructed and tested for the purpose of investigation of basic operating characteristics of compressors working with carbon dioxide. Performance of the experimental compressor was analyzed in comparison with theoretically calculated results. Influence of leakages through valves and piston rings is studied, as well as mixing of oil into suction vapour.
