Summary

The capacity of bacteria to develop a biofilm is one of the main difficulties for the control of contamination: these structures enhance risks and in particular they make the bacteria more resistant to disinfectants. Studies have shown the role of the AGR (accessory gene regulator) communication system in the formation of biofilms of Listeria monocytogenes, a pathogenic agent that is closely monitored in the food industry.
