Summary

This paper presents a possible alternative solution to cold and heat supply a commercial space located in Brasov. The proposed solution uses absorption systems are more economical and have a lower impact on the environment. The proposed scheme is the result of experimental research conducted by a team from the Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer and Thermal Equipment Department. The tests were performed on an existing plant in the Thermodynamics Laboratory of the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest. The authors present the performance of classical power plant with cold and heat, the same commercial space, the preparation of cold water with mechanical compression refrigeration systems, operated by electricity. Energy savings brought by the proposed solution is given by the hot water to drive the absorption refrigeration systems with solar collectors in most of the time with thermal boiler at peak times. This cooling solution with application to commercial spaces completely new to Romania is supported by overlapping solar heatstroke cold requirement of the complex. The authors present an economic analysis on energy savings and payback time.
