Calculate liquid heat capacity.
Author(s) : YAWS C. L.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Data on the liquid heat capacity of hydrocarbons is incomplete, though often required for heat exchanger calculations. The author suggests the correlation constants for a simple formula can be determined from known liquid heat capacity data to a reasonable accuracy to suit any hydrocarbon at any temperature between boiling and freezing. The resulting constants are tabulated for 300 hydrocarbons. D.W.H.
