Summary
This paper presents the calculation of the sound velocity for the adiabatic two-phase flow of the refrigerant through a capillary tube based on the homogeneous equilibrium model. The sound velocities of three refrigerants, R22, R134a and R744, have been calculated and the results have been validated by published experimental data and showed faire agreement with the experimental data with an error band of 4%.
