A SOPHISTICATED CALCULATION METHOD FOR THIS DURATION, CORRESPONDING TO THAT OF THE LIQUID-VAPOUR CHANGE OF PHASE OF UNFROZEN MOISTURE, IS REPORTED. THE RESULTS OBTAINED FOR THE CALCULATION OF THIS PERIOD WITH THE FORMULAS GIVEN ARE COMPARED TO TEST DATA IN THE LITERATURE. R.R.
