Summary

A METHOD IS PROPOSED FOR CALCULATING THE THERMAL LOAD DUE TO AIR INFILTRATION THROUGH DOORS OF REFRIGERATED STORES, DURING LOADING OPERATIONS. THE THERMAL LOAD DEPENDS ON THE FLOW OF HEAT, WHICH DEPENDS ON WHETHER THE REFRIGERATED STORES USE NATURAL CIRCULATION OR FORCED CIRCULATION. THE AUTHORS INDICATE IN TABLES THE COEFFICIENT REPRESENTING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE TOTAL OPENING TIME OF THE DOOR, FOR ONE CYCLE, AND THE CYCLE TIME, FOR A CERTAIN NUMBER OF TYPES OF STORES AS A FUNCTION OF THEIR VOLUME AND SURFACE AREA.
