Summary
The capacity of a standard air cooler was measured according to the standard ENV 328, using refrigerants R22, R134a and R407A. R22 had the best heat transfer performance in the cooler. The choice of reference temperature has great influence on the capacity data of zeotrope refrigerants. When referenced to ENV 328, the capacity data for R407A can be up to 26% higher than that for R22.
