Summary
After a review of some of the different regulations, taxes and fines established by the US Environmental Protection in this area, the article reports on the technical developments presented at the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigerating Exposition in Chicago recently. Among these are "CFC banks", substitute fluids, new compressors for R22 substitutes, absorption refrigeration and desiccant cooling.
