CHARACTERISTICS OF ICE AND FROST FORMATION ON THE HEAT TRANSFER SURFACES.

Author(s) : MARINJUK B. T.

Summary

THE AUTHOR PRESENTS ANALYTICAL FUNCTIONS FOR CALCULATING ESSENTIAL PARAMETERS RELATED TO THE ACCUMULATION OF ICE OR FROST, SUCH AS THICKNESS OR THE AVERAGE COEFFICIENT OF THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY. THE APPLICATION AND THE POTENTIAL ERROR, WHEN USING EACH FUNCTION, ARE DISCUSSED. THE ANALYTICAL AND EMPIRICAL GENERALIZATIONS PRESENTED IN THEARTICLE ARE NECESSARY FOR THE CALCULATION OF THE COLD PRODUCTION OF ICE GENERATORS, AIR COOLERS, LIQUEFIED GAS EVAPORATORS AND OTHER EQUIPMENT WHICH OPERATE UNDER CONDITIONS OF ICE AND FROST FORMATION ON THEIR SURFACES.
