Summary

According to the definition of hybrid ventilation, the purpose of the control system is to establish the desired air flow rate and airflow pattern at the lowest energy consumption possible. This results in a control system, which controls the airflow rates, dependent on the indoor air quality. To gather the information of the air quality, sensors are one of the most important components of a hybrid ventilation system. The aim of this technical report, which is included in the AIVC CD-ROM No. 6, is to give an overview of the supply and demand side of the sensor market related to the building industry. Related to this overview, several market barriers are described for the CO2-sensor to become a mass product for the building industry.
