Code of Practice for the minimisation of refrigerant emissions from refrigerating systems.
Author(s) : Inst. Refrig.
Type of monograph: Booklet
Summary
The Code of Practice covers vapour compression refrigeration systems used for any purpose, including domestic, retail or transport refrigeration, cold storage, food processing, air conditioning, process cooling, heat recovery by heat pumps and vehicle air conditioning. As well as covering ozone depleting refrigerants, it is also of importance to limit emissions of the new HFC refrigerants that are thought to contribute to global warming and it is applicable to ammonia and hydrocarbons. Extract of contents: design of systems; design and selection of components; construction and commissioning; operation and maintenance; leak detection; refrigerant handling; recovery and disposal; training; standards and legislation.
