Summary
Geneva Industrial Services chose to centralize their facilities at Lignon, near Geneva. Power required for the given surface area is 4000 kilowatts (at -6 deg C) for heating, 1500 kilowatts (at 30 deg C) for air-conditioning and 4000 kilowatts for electricity. 95% of air-conditioning needs are covered through cogeneration, with the 1243 kilowatts absorption unit meeting 90% of these needs! Only some rooms are "air-conditioned" (the computer rooms and the "control center" require 400 kilowatts, or about 25% of the peak production). Other rooms are simply cooled a few degrees. A 40-m3 cylindrical-type nodule accumulator able to store 2200 kilowatthour was also installed.
