Cold air distribution in refrigerated trailers used for frozen fish transport.

Author(s) : NORDTVEDT T. S.

Summary

Norway's fish processing industry exported about 115,000 tonnes of fish in 1992. Nearly 40% of it was frozen. During transport tests, temperatures have been recorded and temperature rises and variations did not meet the new EEC regulations for food exports. Air and temperature distribution has been simulated for different loading patterns. The results have shown that the best solution is the transport of small loads.
