Author(s) : KUMAR R.
Type of article: Article
Summary
India has, over the years, built a large cold chain for vaccines to support its ambitious immunization programme. The challenges of maintaining temperatures within close limits to increase the shelf life of vaccines, logistics to reach the remote corners of the country, and perennial power outages that can cause rapid loss of vaccine potency, are being overcome with innovative solutions.
