Cold molecular gas and history of the universe.
Gaz moléculaire froid et histoire de l'univers.

Summary
Molecular absorption in front of radio-loud quasars is a unique tool to probe cold gas at high redshifts, with the benefit of high angular and velocity resolutions. The diffuse components allow us to obtain an upper limit on the temperature of the cosmic background as a function of redshift.
