Cold storage sector. Energy Consumption Guide

Summary
The results of a survey on energy consumption in cold stores is presented. Two thirds of the energy was used for refrigeration. Consumption per cubic meter ratios are given as reference points for users. The most important factor was insulation. However, dimensions of the store, the refrigerant used, and the storage temperature should also be considered. Advice is given on the use and maintenance of equipment.
