Commercial refrigeration system with CO2 as refrigerant experimental results.
Author(s) : GIROTTO S., MINETTO S., NEKSA P.
Summary
The paper presents a commercial refrigeration system using CO2 as refrigerant. The seasonal COPs are calculated, and a comparison is done with a conventional system using R404A. It appears that the annual energy consumption is 8% higher than the equivalent R404A solution. The cost of the CO2 installation is also 10% more expensive.
