Comparative performance of heat pump systems for combined milk cooling and water heating in a farm.

Author(s) : BRUNO F., SAMAN W.

Summary

The purpose of the work is to investigate the use of heat pumps for both cooling milk and heating water. Computer models have been developed of four different systems. Two of the systems are described. Results are presented and comparisons made. The results show that the use of one heat pump which incorporates heat recovery for hot water is not as good as using two separate heat pumps without heat recovery.
