Steam compressing thermo-transformer for combined cold and heat production.

Author(s) : MUMINOV A.

Summary

The report gives a description of the developed Steam Compressing Thermo-Transformer (SCTT) with efficient double-pipe devices intended for milk cooling and hot water production at farms. The results of comparative tests conducted by SCTT on R12, a mixture R22/R142b and on a mixture of hydrocarbons R290/R600a/R600 are given. Assessment of the SCTT power efficiency in a quantitative way was made by means of a conversion coefficient where the useful heat obtained correlates to the additional power consumption caused by the rise in temperature of the cooling agent condensation in the SCTT and decrease in cold production in comparison with the "pure" cooling cycle. The advantages of using mixtures of R290/R600a/R600 are stressed. The values of power factor of the exergy SCTT and separate system for cold and heat supply are presented. SCTT provides reduction of the power specific consumption for the milk processing and hot water obtaining for 5.2-5.7 times in comparison with the separate system of cold- and heat supply.
