Comparative study by evaporation and condensation of propane and R22 in a brazed plate heat exchanger and a tube and fins coil.

Author(s) : SETARO T., BOCCARDI G., CORBERÁN J. M., et al.

Summary

The heat exchangers were tested using an air to water reversible heat pump with a nominal refrigeration capacity of 20 kW in the range of application of air conditioning systems, i.e. 12 to 7 °C on the water side for cooling mode, and 45 to 50 °C for heating mode. A discussion of the results is given. Finally, a set of conclusions is included.
