Summary
Compressor and evaporator capacity, refrigerant flow rate and COP were measured according to ARI criteria. In an attempt to improve efficiency and to take advantage of the temperature glide of R407C, the direction of air flow was modified to resemble the operating conditions of a counterflow heat exchanger.
