Author(s) : PFEIFFENBERGER U.

Summary

TWO PROBLEMS LED THE AUTHOR TO COMPARE REFRIGERANTS. THE FORMER IS THE USE OF HEAT PUMPS IN THE RANGE 100 TO 200 DEG C, THE LATTER IS THAT OF OZONE-CHLOROFLUOROCARBONS. THE PAPER EXPLAINS HOW TO CHARACTERISE THE PERFORMANCE OF WORKING FLUIDS FOR HEAT PUMPS. FLUIDS THAT WERE LIKELY TO BE USED WERE SELECTED AND COMPARED. AT TEMPERATURES OF 120 TO 180 DEG C, FLUORINOL 85 SEEMS TO BE AN EXCELLENT WORKING FLUID. A LG P,H CHART WAS DRAWN UP FOR F 85.
