A study on thermodynamic properties of new fluorinated ether refrigerant, CF3OCH3.

Author(s) : YONEDA T., HASUMOTO M., KAYUKAWA Y., et al.

Summary

A new refrigerant, trifluoromethyl methyl ether, CF3OCH3 (HFE-143m), is expected as one of the promising candidates to substitute R12. In the study, the authors aimed to obtain reliable vapour pressure as well as PVT property data for HFE-143m. They have measured vapour pressures for the range of temperatures up to near the critical point, whereas PVT properties for the range of temperatures 320-420 K, pressures up to 7 MPa and densities up to 450 kg.m-3. A vapour-pressure correlation and a truncated virial equation of state have been developed.
