Summary

Fibroblasts are crucial cells in the construction of tissue-engineered dermal equivalents. The cryopreservation of fibroblast has great significance to the tissue-engineered dermis. Pretreatment processes and three different cryopreservation methods used for fibroblasts were studied. The cell viability, the temperature history, and instruments required of these three methods were compared. In addition, the influences of DMSO concentration, and pretreatment time, and temperature on cell viability were also investigated.
