Composition shifts of zeotropic HFC refrigerants in service.

Author(s) : CORR S., MURPHY F. T.

Summary

The paper describes a computer model that allows the simulation of aspects of the behaviour of some blended HFC refrigerants as a number of refrigeration system parameters are varied. The major distinguishing features of the model are the inclusion of refrigerant-lubricant interactions and the composition shifts associated with vapour-liquid volume fraction effects in zeotropic refrigerants. The predicted behaviour of zeotropic refrigerants in refrigeration systems under a number of scenarios are described.
