Summary

The first part of the European Standard strictly applies to refrigerant compressors and describes test methods for selected performance tests. These methods provide results that are sufficiently precise to determine the refrigerating capacity, power consumption, refrigerant mass flow, isentropic performance and coefficient of performance. This standard applies to performance tests carried out at the manufacturer's factory or wherever accurate testing equipment is available. The measuring equipment to be used and the acceptable uncertainty are described in Appendix A.
