COMPUTER SIMULATION AND ANALYSIS OF ABSORPTION SYSTEMS.

Author(s) : GROSSMAN G.

Summary

A SIMULATION PROGRAM FOR ABSORPTION SYSTEMS IS BASED ON SUBROUTINES, CONTAINING THE EQUATIONS OF THE SYSTEM COMPONENTS, WHICH ARE CONNECTED TO ONE ANOTHER BY A MAIN PROGRAMME, ACCORDING TO THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE USER. THE PROGRAM REQUIRES JUST A FEW INPUTS DEFINING THE OPERATING CONDITIONS AND THE STATE OF THE FLUID AT THE DIFFERENT POINTS. THE USER PROVIDES THE < IMAGE > OF THE CYCLE. WITH THESE DATA, THE PROGRAM COMPUTES THE TEMPERATURE, FLOW RATE, CONCENTRATION, PRESSURE AND VAPOUR FRACTION AT EACH POINT OF THE SYSTEM, AS WELL AS THE THERMAL LOAD OF EACH ELEMENT.
