Summary

In industrial refrigeration plant, selection of condensers is based on manufacturers' data. Generally, these data indicate the condensing capacity for a 15 K difference between the temperature of the cooling and condensation fluids, and correction factors are used according to refrigerants, outside temperatures and temperature differences, etc. However, only the nominal rejection capability (for an inlet-air temperature of 25 °C) is indicated for low-capacity condensers. The condensing capacity for a condensing temperature difference of 15 K is never indicated. The article analyzes this problem.
