Summary

A BRIEF ARTICLE DRAWING ATTENTION TO SOME PRACTICAL PROBLEMS IN MAINTAINING FOOD TEMPERATURES WITHIN A NARROW RANGE. EXPERIMENTS WERE CARRIED OUT ON SIX COMMERCIAL ELECTRICAL REFRIGERATORS, TEMPERATURES BEING RECORDED AT EACH OF THE THERMOSTAT SETTINGS TO SHOW THE MEAN FOOD TEMPERATURE FLUCTUATIONS AT THE BOTTOM AND TOP OF THE FOOD STORAGE COMPARTMENT. A TABLE GIVES THE TEST RESULTS.
