Control strategy for cooled ceiling panels.
Author(s) : SPRECHER P., BOECK O., GASSER B., KOFOED P.
Summary
Water-cooled ceiling panels are mostly used in office buildings. They are generally connected with thermally comfortable conditions. The main factor for heat exchange is radiation. A new control strategy for cooled ceiling panels has been developed. With this control strategy it is possible to use the cooled ceiling panels not only during working hours when an interval load is present, but also at night. With night cooling, it is possible to use the thermal mass of the building for energy storage.
