Summary
Peach fruits (cv. Eldorado) were stored for 32 or 46 days at -0.5 or 0.5 °C and 97% relative humidity, in air or in controlled atmosphere storage (1.0 kPa O2 + 3.0 kPa CO2, 1.0 kPa O2 + 3.0 kPa CO2 with ethylene removal, 1.5 kPa O2 + 5.0 kPa CO2, air + 10 kPa CO2). Flesh firmness, total soluble solids, titratable acidity, decay incidence, and internal browning were assessed immediately after removal from storage and after 2 or 3 days' simulated shelf life at 25 °C.
