Summary

Maintenance of the cold chain implies compliance with temperature conditions during transport of heat-sensitive health products, among which medicinal products for clinical trials represent a special case. The authors recall the prerequisites of good controlled temperature transport in general and far investigational medicinal products in particular. Various solutions are studied and the results are presented in the light of risk analysis of the entire logistic chain. They stress that the quality approach to the transport of heal-sensitive products must be submitted to continuous improvement, based on relevant indicators and resulting in an action plan monitored over time.
