Summary

This study investigates the mechanism for ensuring a constant cold-water temperature in an adsorption refrigerator by adjusting the amount of cooling water with a three-stage process over one cycle. It is determined that it is possible to secure a continuous cooling capacity by installing a bypass route from the inlet side of heat exchanger (HEX) to the condenser. We confirmed that the cooling capacity is 6.87 kW, which is 80% of the rated value, and the mean deviation of the cold-water temperature is ± 0.18 °C.
