CRITICAL CURRENT AND GINZBURG-LANDAU PARAMETERS FOR WHISKERS FROM THE INDIUM-LEAD SYSTEM.

Summary

NUMEROUS SAMPLES SPREAD OVER THE WHOLE ALLOY SYSTEM HAVE BEEN INVESTIGATED. MEASUREMENTS OF THE CRITICAL CURRENT FOR TEMPERATURES CLOSE TO THE SUPERCONDUCTING CRITICAL TEMPERATURE OF EACH SAMPLE ARE IN AGREEMENT WITH THE GINZBURG-LANDAU THEORY. THE DETERMINATION OF THE GINZBURG-LANDAU PARAMETER LEADS TO BORDERS BETWEEN TYPE I AND TYPE II SUPERCONDUCTORS AT TWO LEAD CONCENTRATIONS.
