Critical heat flux on a flat plate at the middle of a parallel duct filled with pressurized He II.
Author(s) : TATSUMOTO H., HATA K., HAMA K., et al.
Summary
Critical heat fluxes (CHFs) were measured on a flat plate (10-40 mm2) located at the middle of a parallel duct immersed in pressurized He II for bath temperature. The parallel duct has the length of 100 mm and the gap length ranging from 2.0 to 20 mm. With increase in the gap length, the value of CHF increased and then approached a certain value corresponding to that on the same sized flat plate in He II bath. A correlation of CHF that can express the experimental data within 15% errors was presented.
