Summary

THE DEPENDENCES OF A SUPERCONDUCTING FILM CRITICAL CURRENT ON ELECTROMAGNETIC PUMPING FREQUENCY AND POWER ARE STUDIED BOTH THEORETICALLY AND EXPERIMENTALLY IN THE 15-10,000 MEGAHERTZ RANGE. A GOOD AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CALCULATED AND MEASURED DATA IS OBSERVED PERMITTING ONE TO DETERMINE THE MICROSCOPIC RELAXATION TIMES FOR THE NONLINEAR CONDITION WITH AN ALTERNATING CURRENT AMPLITUDE OF THE ORDER OF THE CRITICAL ONE THE OBSERVED SUPERCONDUCTING-RESISTIVE TRANSITION OF THE FILM IS FOUND TO BE DUE TO THE GINZBURG-LANDAU DYNAMIC MECHANISM OF DEPAIRING RATHER THAN THERMAL OR KINETIC EFFECTS. A NONLINEAR HIGH-FREQUENCY DISSIPATIVE CONDUCTIVITY OF THE SUPERCONDUCTING FILM WITH SPECIFIC FEATURES NEARBY THE SUPERCONDUCTOR RELAXATION FREQUENCIES IS ESTIMATED.
