Type of article: Article
Summary
5% DMSO ALONE OR IN COMBINATION WITH VARIOUS CONCENTRATIONS OF HUMAN SERUM ALBUMIN (HA) AND AUTOLOGOUS SERUM (AS) WAS USED FOR CRYOPROTECTION OF HUMAN BONE MARROW CELLS. THE SURVIVAL OF THE CELLS AFTER FREEZE-PRESERVATION WAS ASSESSED BY CULTURE OF MYELOPOIESIS-COMMITTED STEM CELLS (CFU-C) IN VITRO. A SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER PROTECTION WAS OBTAINED BY 5% DMSO IN COMBINATION WITH 20% HA AND 20%AS (78 + OR -7%), AND ALSO WITH 5% DMSO WITH 40% HA.
